Monetize It Online - What you can do to make an extra buck!

Hi Friends,

Today we will look into the various avenues to make money online and the different types of jobs available online today along with their characteristics.

Internet marketing had existed online for a very long period of time and are one of the most lucrative online industry since the internet boom in the early 1993s. The are various modern ways to do marketing online available to different individuals. However there are so many gurus that offers to teach the latest online money making techniques where the question remains as to which method will suit best for a novice in this industry.

I will attempt to provide some light in this context in view that it will provide you with a better understanding of what you are buying into.

Affiliate Marketing

This method is NOT about to be the easiest approach for any newcomers. Despite many gurus who promote "How To Step By Step Guide / Blueprints" still it can be confusing for a newcomer into the online work from home industry to fully grasp the whole idea and put to practice.

You will look for a niche or product that you know or interested in to promote on behalf of the vendor. Such vendor are usually found in Clickbank.com, Paydotcom.com, Affiliate jump.com and etc. These vendors will then pay you commission upon the people you send to and make a purchase of the vendors products

You will need a website, some guru will tell you that it isn't necessary and owning a blog will suffice but major search engines like Google, Yahoo or MSN look favorably upon offerings that occupied their own site. If you buy a step by step guide, it should have all the necessary materials, manuals to videos to help you as you progress from one module to other.

Keyword Research

You will need to do keyword research, apply for a domain name (usually you need to pay for a year) and get that name hosted by online hosting companies (month and yearly subscription available depending on the hosting company you are with..). You will setup your own website, include Quality Contents relevant to the niche or product that you are promoting.

Next, we need to familiarize ourselves with the various different sites that are available online today. Ok, Let me make this easy for you.

Authority sites: Sites that have an important presence for that particular niche or product.
Government Sites: self - explanatory
Educational Site: Self - explanatory
Social Sites - Facebook, Friendster, Diggs, Delicious and etc
Media Sharing Sites: Youtube.com, dailymotion.com, metacafe.com.
Other Web 2.0 Properties: Hubpage.com, Twitter.com. Squidoo.com
Forum: These are group of people on a specific site who meet to share experiences and post questions, answers and ideas for a particular niche or product with each other.

These are only a fraction of that vast majority of sites that each command authority in their own rights.

So why am i telling you this. OK. You will be gradually building links with the majority of these sites preferably the more the better.

You need to get your website to the top or first page of any search engine simply because that's where all you potential customers will be if they are looking for you product. How you do that depends on various factors search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN all have their own algorithms, how they actually justified the position of you website depend on how important you website is and more often then not this is done by classifying you with the page rank, the higher you rank the more important you website becomes thus the higher visibility you earn. This is part of the entire Search Engine Optimization (SEO) process that some of you might heard of when you come across internet marketing sites.

How Long Will This Take To Learn And Achieve

The learning curve of this process for a complete newbie will vary on the amount of time spent and work devoted in it. seasoned affiliate marketers are known to spend hours sometimes working through the night even. What may seem to be an easy process of affiliate marketing can turn out to be pretty daunting a task if not properly organized. Students could easily get overwhelm especially when following different guru on different programs. So the trick here is to remain focus and take baby steps. It should be 2-3 weeks for a complete newbie to grasp the idea and put it to action, again this would vary upon individual capacities.

The benefit of affiliate marketing are as below.

Your Business is up 24/7
You work at your own pace
You wherever and whenever you want
The rewards are tremendous
You do not need inventory
You do not need staffs
You don't do customer support
You don't need to have your own product
No More traveling to work
It may even replace your day job if you decide to go full-time

So the benefits you are getting yourself involve in, is it worth all the work, time, energy into making it a success only you will know. I wouldn't recommend anyone to board on any work from home programs if you don't have the heart to act on it plus taking it all the way to success.

You may come across many earn money online programs like this, selling you similar benefits telling you that even their 12 year old daughter is doing it but let's be honest to ourselves, unless you paid a lot of money for the step by step program it is unlikely that you will be getting a similar level of support his daughter is getting but they will do a ticket submit where they will get back to you soonest possible.

At the end of the day affiliate marketing is very much alive and definitely one of the highest paying industry to get involve in but from a newbie point of view, affiliate marketing demands a high degree of dedication
and perseverance but it only get easier once you are at the top.

You should have a clearer picture of what you might be up against by now. I will be reviewing in depths on an affiliate marketing product i figure all of you can benefit from or not. You will decide after reading but not before.

Thank You All For Your Time

See you here and have a great day!!

3 Quick And Easy Ways To Build A Profitable Opt In List

Written by Administrator

You finally realize that you need a good opt-in list. After reading countless articles and sought expert advices and have read many success stories of people creating a small fortune with opt-in lists you finally decide to have one of your own. Then it happens, you think you have known everything there is to know about opt-in lists and have followed their advices to the T and you still weren’t able to make a profit.

In fact, you may be losing money. You maybe hiring writers to help you out, or there are some expenses incurred, even if you have a big list, but only a very small percentage actually buys from you, your still losing profit. You’ll realize that after a few months when you see your statistics and sales figures.

So what could have gone wrong? Why have others succeeded where you have failed? The most common mistake is that you dived straight right in. You chose a topic where you think could be quite popular and would earn you money. This just not the case. Just because you wrote people from the list doesn’t mean they are going to buy instantly.

Here I will offer more advice, for those who have started an opt-in list and have failed, you can rejuvenate your failed venture. For those who are starting, here are three quick and easy ways to build a profitable opt-in list.

First
Get your customers to trust you and your products first. Just launching your opt-in list would not make you an expert and a believable seller. Put many articles first before you start an opt-in list. Write about the topic you know and have started and used for your site. Try to put forums first to gain knowledge about your customers about their wants and needs and target those wants and needs.

Join forums from other sites as well. Provide expert advices and recommendations. When you feel that people trust you already, you will be able to start your own opt-in list. You can build a base as well with other forum users. You can ask them to join your list. Friends are always good customers. Put up a link to your site so that they may be able to see what you're business is all about.

The certain truth is, the money will only come in when the consumers and subscribers believe and trust in you. They want a product or service that could be a good exchange for their money. People are not going to buy something out of your recommendation if they don’t know you.

Second
Find a product or service that people want and need. Although it may not be your forte, if you provide a service and product that you have researched and learned about well, you can carry it on forward. Invest your time, effort and money that you could sell as well as the buyers or subscribers of your opt-in list can use.

While it is true that it is best to sell something that you have interest in, there are not many people who have the same interest as you if you decide to sell something that is not entirely popular or profitable. Do your research well and you would see the profits come in. Also provide your subscribers with promotional material that they could actually use and spread around.

Third
Make friends with other opt-in list users. This is basically beneficial especially if it is someone who has already launched a successful opt-in list. These are people that have the experience in this venture and experience is still the best teacher. While there are many articles available for you in the internet to use, there is nothing like getting a first hand account from someone you trust.

Experienced opt-in list users will be able to tell you what to do and what not to do because they have gone through it. While different situations occur for different people, the general concept can still be very helpful. There are many things to avoid and these people will be able to tell you which ones.

Building a profitable opt-in list don’t just happen overnight. There are many preparations and effort to do. Opt-in lists are built from scratch, as your list grows, you should also maintain the quality of your list. Keep it organized and manageable. Get or hire help if need be, just make sure that your subscribers are happy and satisfied and they will be willing to buy from you.

5 Simple Steps to Posting Your First eBay Auction Pt.2

Written By: Administrator

Step 4: Wait for it to sell.

This is just a matter of sitting back and letting eBay do its thing - buyers will find your item and leave bids on it. Some bidders might email you with questions about the item, and you should do your best to answer these questions as quickly as you can.

Remember that if your item doesn't sell then you can list it again for free.

Step 5: Collect payment and post it.

EBay will sent your buyer emails guiding them through the process of sending you payment for the item. Make sure you have the money before you send anything.

Once you've got the payment, all you need to do is pack the item for posting (make sure to use some bubble wrap), take the buyer's address from the confirmation email eBay sent you, and write it on the parcel. Put some stamps on, post it, and you're done!

I hope you enjoyed selling your first item. Now that you're starting to get into it, the next post will give you a checklist of things you need to do to be a successful seller.

5 Simple Steps to Posting Your First eBay Auction Pt.1

Written By: Administrator

Alright, you are getting into posting you items on ebay for the first time. Don't sweat it! its surprisingly simple, just follow my post and you will do just fine.

Step 1: Open an eBay seller's account.

If you've bought things on eBay, then you already have an account - just log in with it and click 'Sell' in the toolbar at the top of the page, then click 'Create a seller's account'.
If you've never used eBay before, then you'll need to open an account first using the 'register' link underneath the toolbar, and then click 'Sell' and 'Create a seller's account'. The eBay site will then guide you through the process. For security, this may involve giving card details and bank information.

Step 2: Decide what to sell.

For your first little experiment with eBay, it doesn't really matter what you sell. Take a look around the room you're in - I'm sure there's something in there that you're not all that attached to and could put in the post. Small books and CDs are ideal first items.

Step 3: Submit your item.

Click 'Sell', and you're on your way to listing your item.

The first thing you need to do is choose a category - it's best to just type in what the item is and let eBay choose for you. Next, write a title and description.

Include key words you think people will search for in the title box, and all the information you have about the item in the description box.

Now set a starting price. $0.01 is the best starting price, as it draws people in to bid who otherwise wouldn't, and items will almost never finish at such a low price. The next thing to set is the duration of the auction: 3, 5, 7 or 10 days. This is up to you: longer sales will usually get more bids, but will also seem to drag on forever.

If you've taken a picture, add it now - items with pictures always sell for more. Finally, tick the payment methods you will accept (just PayPal is best for now), and where you will post to (limit yourself to your own country to begin with). Submit and you're done!

Let's head on to Pt.2 of these 5 simple steps to get you completed on ebay auction. See you there guys!!

Learning the eBay "Lingo".

Written By: Administrator

Do you have trouble sometimes understanding when people talk about eBay? Don't worry, some of the jargon is really obscure, and you can't be expected to understand it until someone's told you what it means. Here's little list of the most useful lingo to know, but you don't need to memorise it - even the most common jargon is only used relatively rarely.

Words.

Bid: Telling eBay's system the maximum price you are prepared to pay for an item.
Dutch: An auction where more than one of an item is available.
Feedback: Positive or negative comments left about other users on eBay.
Mint: In perfect condition.
Non-paying bidder: A bidder who wins an auction but does not then go on to buy the item.
PayPal: An electronic payment method accepted by most sellers.
Rare: Used and abused on eBay, now entirely meaningless.
Reserve: The minimum price the seller will accept for the item.
Shill bid: A fake bid placed by a seller trying to drive up their auction's price.
Snail Mail: The post, which is obviously very slow compared to email.
Sniping: Bidding at the last second to win the item before anyone else can outbid you.

Abbreviations.

AUD: Australian Dollar. Currency.
BIN: Buy it Now. A fixed price auction.
BNWT: Brand New With Tags. An item that has never been used and still has its original tags.
BW: Black and White. Used for films, photos etc.
CONUS: Continental United States. Generally used by sellers NOT postings to Alaska or Hawaii.
EUR: Euro. Currency.
FC: First Class. Type of postage.
GBP: Great British Pounds. Currency.
HTF: Hard To Find. Not quite as abused as 'rare', but getting there.
NIB: New in Box. Never opened, still in its original box.
NR: No Reserve. An item where the seller has not set a reserve price.
OB: Original Box. An item that has its original box (but might have been opened).
PM: Priority Mail.
PP: Parcel Post.
SH: Shipping and Handling. The fees the buyer will pay you for postage.
USD: United States Dollars. Currency.
VGC: Very Good Condition. Not mint, but close.

There are chances where you'll find more specific jargon related to whatever you're selling, but it'd be an impossible task to cover it all here. If you can't figure one out from your knowledge of the subject, then type the term into a search engine, followed by the word 'ebay'. The chances are that someone, somewhere will have seen fit to explain it.

While it's good to be able to understand others' jargon, avoid using it unless you really need to (for example, if you run out of space in an item's title). Many people on eBay are not experienced buyers and you will lose them if you write a load of gobbledegook all over your auction.

You should be ready by now to get involve with the ebay life. In my nextt post i will be sharing some way to post your 1st ebay auction. Until then good health to you all.

Stay Out of Trouble with eBay's Listing Policies. (Pt.2)

Clearing E-Bay Policies Mist

The 'autographed items' entry, doesn't mean that you can't sell anything that's been autographed - it just means that you can only sell it if it comes with a certificate of authenticity.

The 'artifacts' entry prohibits you from selling Native American graves; 'celebrity material' means you can't sell unauthorised pictures of celebrities;

'embargoed goods' means that you can't sell anything that comes from Cuba… on and on it goes, and most of it you never need to know.

If your chosen kind of item seems to be on the list, though, and you're concerned that you might not be able to sell it, then check the full list at
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/items-ov.html to see whether the item is banned entirely or there are just a few restrictions.

eBay WILL remove any items that it believes violating the copyright law, but in reality they don't have that many people to monitor the site.

You will generally only find that your auction gets removed if someone decides to report you - and even then, they might not get around to it.

Still its' wise to be aware of it, Be safe then to be sorry!!

Really, buying and selling on eBay can sometimes feel more complicated than it really is, thanks to all the rules surrounding it - not to mention the jargon. Our next posting is a 'jargon buster', to help you learn the language of eBay.

A Beginner's Guide to the Different eBay Auction Types.

Written By Administrator

Throughout the year E-Bay introduced different auction types, giving the people more options when they buy and sell their things on eBay.

Some seller prefer a base retail price for the item they sell whilst others may want to shift hundreds of the same item quickly. EBay cater to all tastes.

An Overview of different Auctions in E-Bay

Normal Auctions.

These are the bread-and-butter of eBay, the auctions everyone knows: buyers bid, others outbid them, they bid again, and the winner gets the item. Simple.

Reserve Auctions.

Reserve auctions are for sellers who don't want their items to sell for less than a certain price - a concept you'll know about if you're familiar with real auctions. They work just like normal auctions on eBay, except that the buyer will be told if their bid does not meet the reserve price you set, and they'll need to bid again if they want the item. If no-one is willing to meet your price, then the auction is cancelled, and you keep the item.

Fixed Price ('Buy it Now') Auctions.

Buy it Now auctions can work in one of two ways. You can add a Buy it Now button to a normal auction, meaning that buyers can choose either to bid or simply pay the asking price and avoid the whole bidding process. Some sellers, though, now cut out the auction process altogether and simply list all their items at fixed price. This lets you avoid all the complications of the auction format and simply list your items for how much you want them to sell for.

Recently, eBay added a twist to fixed price auctions: the 'best offer'. This means that buyers can contact you to negotiate a price, which could be a good way to get sell some extra stock at a small discount.

The only downside to reserve and fixed price auctions is that you pay a small extra fee to use these formats. In general, it is more worth using reserve auctions for higher-priced items and fixed price auctions for lower-priced ones - but remember that you can combine the two formats.

Multiple Item ('Dutch') Auctions.

These are auctions where you can sell more than one of a certain item. Dutch auctions can be done by bidding. Buyers bid a price and say how many items they want, and then everyone pays the lowest price that was bid by one of the winning bidders. If you have trouble getting your head around that, then don't worry - everyone else does too! These auctions are very rare.

What is more common is when a seller has a lot of one item, and lists it using a combination of two auction types: a multiple-item fixed price auction. This just means that you can just say how many of the item you have, and offer them at a fixed price per unit. Buyers can enter how many they want and then just click Buy it Now to get them.

MAKE SURE that the items you sell do not violate eBay's listing policies. On the coming post we will go further to find out what you are allowed and the BIG NO NOs...

Video On: How To Sell On E-Bay By:JLScottRevolution

Need to Know BEFORE You Get Started on eBay.

Written By: Administrator

So we have decided to join as a seller on eBay. Ok, there are a few things that you really need to know before you go and throw yourself in at the deep end.

Ask What to Sell?

First, the need to know what it is you're going to sell: what's your speciality? You'll well on eBay if you become a great source for certain kind of products, as people who are interested in those products will return to you for more. You won't get any loyalty or real reputation if you just sell rubbish at random.

Now thinking about the things you would sell on EBay. ALWAYS sell what you know. If you sell something that you just don't know anything about chances are you'll find problems writing a good description to sell it for a good price.

Alright, you're not especially interested in anything, but if you think about what kind of things you usually buy and which websites you go to most often, you'll discover some kind of interest. If all else fails mention it to your friends and family: they'll almost certainly say "Oh, well why don't you sell…", and you'll slap your forehead.

Out of the things you know enough about, you should then consider which things you could actually get for a good price to resell, how suitable they would be for posting. If you find something that you're knowledgeable about and it's small and light enough for postage to be relatively cheap, then that's great!

Don't Worry about the thing you're selling being too obscure - most of the time it isn't. There's a market for almost everything on eBay, even things that wouldn't sell once in a year if you stocked them in a shop. You'll probably do even better if you fill a niche than if you sell something common.

Let's Talk Tax and Legal Matters.

If you earn enough money, you should be aware that you're going to have to start paying tax - this won't be done for you. If you decide to sell on eBay on a full-time basis, you should probably register as a business.

Prepare Yourself.

There are going to be ups and downs when you sell on eBay. Don't pack it in if something goes a little wrong in your first few sales: the sellers who are successful on eBay are the ones who enjoy it, and stick at it whatever happens.
If you decide packing it up, the start-up costs are so low that you won't really have lost anything.

If you're ready to start selling, then the next thing you need to know is the different auction types, so you can decide which ones you will use to sell your items. So be sure to check back in for the coming guide soon.

EBay Income Possibilities.

Written By: Administrator

If you've ever read an article about eBay, you will have seen the kinds of incomes people make - it isn't unusual to hear of people making thousands of dollars per month on eBay.Next time you're on eBay,Check out how many PowerSellers there are, you'll find quite a few.

PowerSellers must be making at least $1,000 per month, as that's eBay's requirement for becoming a PowerSeller.
1)Silver PowerSellers make at least $3,000 per mth
2)Gold PowerSellers make more than $10,000 per mth
3)Platinum PowerSellers make more than $25,000 per mth
4)Titanium PowerSeller(TOP), and to qualify you must make at least $150,000 in sales every month!

Most of them never even set up a business on eBay. They simply started selling a few things and the rest goes from there. There are people whose full-time job is selling things on eBay and doing it for years now. Can you imagine that? Once they've bought the stock, everything else is pretty much pure profit for these people There's no need to pay for business premises, staff, or overheads.

Keep your day job or afford to lose it, you can still use eBay to make a significant second income. You can pack up orders during the week and take them down to the post office for delivery each Saturday.

What's more, eBay doesn't care who you are, where you live, or what you look like: some PowerSellers are very old, or very young. Some live out in the middle of nowhere where. E-Bay tears down the barriers to earning that the real world constantly puts up. There's no job interview and no commuting involved - if you can post things, you can do it an love it!

Put it this way: if you know where to get something reasonably cheaply that you could sell, then you can sell it on eBay - and since you can always get discounts for bulk at wholesale, that's not exactly difficult. Buy a job lot of something in-demand cheaply, sell it on eBay, and you're making money already, with no set-up costs.

For those weary ones try dip your toe in the water before you commit to actually buying anything, you can just sell things that you've got lying around in the house. Search through that cupboard of stuff you never use, and you'll probably find you've got a few hundred dollars' worth of stuff lying around in there!

This is the power of eBay: there is always someone who wants what you're selling, whatever it might be, and since they've come looking for you, you don't even need to do anything to get them to buy it.

So you want to get started on eBay? Well, that's great! There are only a few little things you need to learn to get started. On our next post i will give you the lowdown on EBay Marketing.

The First 10 Years Of Ebay

Written By Administrator

E-Bay was created in September 1995, by a man called Pierre Omidyar, who was living in San Jose. He wanted his site - then called 'AuctionWeb', an online marketplace, and wrote the first code for it in one weekend. It was one of the first websites of its kind in the world.

The name 'eBay' comes from the domain Omidyar used for his site. His company's name was Echo Bay, and the 'eBay AuctionWeb' was originally just one part of Echo Bay's website at ebay.com. The first thing ever sold on the site was Omidyar's broken laser pointer, which he got $14 for.

The site quickly became massively popular, as sellers came to list all sorts of odd things and buyers actually bought them. Relying on trust seemed to work remarkably well, and meant that the site could almost be left alone to run itself.

The site had been designed from the start to collect a small fee on each sale, and it was this money that Omidyar used to pay for AuctionWeb's expansion. The fees quickly added up to more than his current salary, and so he decided to quit his job and work on the site full-time. It was at this point,

In 1996, that he added the feedback facilities, to let buyers and sellers rate each other and make buying and selling safer.

In 1997, Omidyar changed his company name AuctionWeb to 'eBay', He began to spend a lot of money on advertising, and had the eBay logo designed. It was in this year that the one-millionth item was sold (it was a toy version of Big Bird from Sesame Street).

Then, in 1998 - the peak of the dotcom boom - eBay became big business, and the investment in Internet businesses at the time allowed it to bring in senior managers and business strategists, who took in public on the stock market. It started to encourage people to sell more than just collectibles, and quickly became a massive site where you could sell anything, large or small. Unlike other sites, though, eBay survived the end of the boom, and is still going strong today.

In 1999 saw eBay go worldwide, launching sites in the UK, Australia and Germany. eBay bought half.com, an Amazon-like online retailer.

In the year 2000 - the same year it introduced Buy it Now - and bought PayPal, an online payment service, in 2002.

Pierre Omidyar has now earned an estimated $3 billion from eBay, and still serves as Chairman of the Board. Oddly enough, he keeps a personal weblog at http://pierre.typepad.com.

There are now literally millions of items bought and sold every day on eBay, all over the world. For every $100 spent online worldwide, it is estimated that $14 is spent on eBay - that's a lot of laser pointers.

Now that you know the history of eBay, perhaps you'd like to know how it could work for you? in my next post i will give you an idea of the possibilities.

Exactly how to set up a blog for affiliate marketing (Video)

3 Factors For Successful Affiliate Marketers

Written By: Administrator

Every affiliate marketer is always looking for the successful market that gives the biggest paycheck. However there is NO magic formula that is readily available for that. It is just good marketing practices proven over years of hard work and dedication.

So what are these three tactics?

1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them. Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers consent to you using their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing.

You can also write articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them on the website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive compelling and include calls to act on the information.Highlight your special points.

2. Positioning your free reports at the very top side of your page so it they simply cannot be missed. Try to create autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box.

Only two things can possibly happen with the web page alone: closed sale or the prospect leaving the page and never return again. Top 3 Tips In Boosting Your Affiliate Paycheque Overnight

Written by Administrator

Assuming you are already into an affiliate program, what would be the next thing you would want to do? Double, or even triple, your commissions, right? How do you do that?

Here are some powerful tips on how to boost your affiliate program commissions overnight.

1. Obviously We all want the best program and products to promote that achieves the greatest profits in the shortest possible time. There are some factors to consider in selecting such a program. Choose one or a few that offers a generous commission structure and products that fits your target audience. Make sure the company comes with a solid track record of paying their affiliate easily and on time.

Given thousands of affiliate programs out there you have every reason to be picky so you may want to select the best for you advertising dollars.

Writting free reports or short ebooks for distribution from your site. Chances are you will be competing with other affiliates for the same product but with the reports and e-books that you write allows you to distinguish yourself from the others

In the reports, provide valuable information for free. If possible, add some recommendations about the products. With ebooks, you get credibility. Customers will see that in you and they will be enticed and more willing to try what you are offering.

2. Collect email addresses of those who download your free ebooks. It is a known fact that people do not make a purchase on the first solicitation. You may want to send out your message more than six times to make a sale. You can make follow-ups on these contacts and remind them to purchase from you

(Mental Note): Secure the contact information of a prospect before sending them to the vendor’s website. Keep in mind that you are providing free advertisement for the product owners. You get paid only when you make a sale. If you send prospects directly to the vendors, chances are they would be lost to you forever.

But when you get their names, you can always send other other relevant marketing messages which will enable you to earn an ongoing commission instead of a one-time sale only.

Publish an online newsletter or Ezine. It is always best to recommend a product to someone you know than to sell to a stranger. This also allows you to develop a relationship based on trust with your subscribers.

This strategy is a delicate balance between providing useful information with a sales pitch. Writing informative editorials you will be able to build a sense of reciprocity in your readers that may lead them to support you and buy your products.

3. Ask for higher than normal commission from merchants. If you are already successful with a particular promotion, Approach the merchant professionally and re-negotiate a higher percentage commission for your sales.

If the merchant is smart, he or she will likely grant your request rather than lose a valuable asset you have.

(Mental Note again):You are a zero-risk investment to your merchant; so do not be shy about requesting for addition in your commissions. No need to be arrogant but try to be reasonable about it.

For those of you who are familiar with Per Click ads. PPC search engine is the most effective means of advertising online. As an affiliate, you can make a small income just by managing PPC campaigns such as Google AdWords and Overture.

Then you should try and monitor them to see which ads are more effective and which ones to dispose of.

Try out these strategies and see the difference it can make to your commission checks in the shortest of time.

A Day In The Life Of An Affiliate Marketer

Written By: Administrator

Being in the affiliate marketing business is not that hard now with the internet at your disposable. So with technology at hand, and assuming that the affiliate is working from home, a day in his or her life would sound something like this…

Upon waking up and after having breakfast, the computer is turned on to check out new developments in the network. As far as the marketer is concerned there might be new things to update and statistics to keep track on. The site design has to be revised.

The marketer knows that a well-designed site can increase sign ups from visitors and help in conversion rates. There are lots of resources to sort out. Ads, banners, button ads and sample recommendations to give out because this is one way of ensuring more sales. Best to stay visible and accessible too.

That done, it is time to submit the affiliate program to directories that lists affiliate programs. These directories are means to attract people in joining your affiliate program. Time to track down the sales you are getting from your affiliates fairly and accurately. There are phone orders and mails to track down. Noting down the contact information that might be a viable source in the future.

The affiliate marketer remembered that there are questions to answer from the visitors. This has to be done quickly. Nothing can turn off a customer than an unanswered email. Quick answer that should appear professional yet friendly too.

The marketer is logged on to a chat room where he or she interacts with other affiliates and those under that same program. Sharing tips and advices is a good way of showing support. There may be others out there wanting to join and may be enticed by the discussion that is going on.

These same publications are also an important tool in keeping up to date with the newly introduced products. The marketer has put up a sale and promotion that customers may want to know about.keep up with the deadline of these sales written in the publications.

It is that time to show some appreciation to those who have helped the marketer in the promotions and sale increase. Nothing like mentioning the persons, their sites and the process they have done that made everything worked which will be publish in the newsletter

Two objectives done at the same time. The marketer gets to promote the product as well as the program they are in. Who knows, someone may be inclined to join.

Time flies. Missed lunch but is quite contented with the tasks done. Bed time….

Ok, so this may not be all done in a day. But then, this gives you an idea of how an affiliate marketer, a dedicated one that is, spends the marketing day.

One of the basics for an Internet marketing campaign is to create a website. If you have a website or one that is poorly designed you should consider creating or re-designing a website to adequately market your products. Hiring a web designer is worthwhile as he can work to create a website which is attractive, functional, advance and suitable for your products.

Banner ads are another popular option for business advertising on the Internet. Banner ads are advertisements with graphics and text which entice users to click and be directed to your website. It typically located on the top of a website but it may also include smaller ads in other locations. This method of advertising can be very effective when proper consideration to place the advertisements on relevant high traffic websites which attract the target audience

E-newsletters can be integrated as a part of an effective Internet marketing strategy. They are essentially emails which contain variety of information including articles, quizzes, relevant advertising or information which is deemed worthwhile for the subscriber of the e-newsletter. This marketing technique is not viewed by their recipients as advertisement but informative articles. One way to do this is to incorporate links or other soft sale approaches into the copy of the e-newsletters.

Email marketing campaign essentially involves sending out emails to a group of individuals who shares interest in your products and services. Again proper consideration to sending emails as unsolicited emails will be viewed as spam. One way to do this is providing value in the emails for instance, useful advice and relevant information which may be of interest to the recipients whom requested inclusion on your email listing.

Finally, optimizing your website for search engines is a critical aspect of an Internet marketing campaign. Search engines rank websites according to quality and relevance for particular keyword or search term. Internet user uses the search engine to find the best websites on a particular subject. This means your targeted audience(Customers) are more likely to visit websites which rank well with search engines. Top ranking websites are likely to obtain the most traffic from search engines and all websites falling on the first page of the search engine results will likely enjoy some degree of success with their traffic.
